098-ImageIn this episode of The Forgotten Flix Podcast, it’s the first movie in our annual Spooky Flix Fest celebration!

So, what are we opening with?

It’s Parents from 1989 and this one’s a dooooozy!

Directed by Bob Balaban and starring Randy “Don’t call me Cousin Eddie” Quaid and Mary “Don’t call me” Beth Hurt, Parents is a dark horror comedy. We think you’ll agree it’s a tasty dish that serves up the thrills and chills to help get the ’13 Spooky Flix Fest off to a grande start!

We’re also joined by one of the Forgotten Flix crew. It’s Peter Nielsen, writer of Peter’s Retro Reviews and all-around swell guy!

Our Movie Picks:

Peter’s Pick:

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)

Jason’s Pick:

Children of the Corn (1984)

Joel’s Pick:

Blue Velvet (1986)

In the next installment of the SPOOKY FLIX FEST, we’re remembering… The Funhouse (1981)
