Cracking it out & artificially toning the coin, then resealing the slab to give the illusion that the graders called it natural toning – that’s straight-up fraud. Selling it for $5K? That’s a whole other level! It’s GOT to be felony grand larceny or something to that effect. This person should be reported to law enforcement. I wonder how many he/she has gotten away with!
As someone who has worked with metal a little bit in life I can definitely tell you this was caused by a torch of some sort. That kind of toning, those blues especially, comes only from heat. Great video and needed to be said.

I am a welder I know what a heat looks like when I heat a metal or what I am welding. This toning is artificial. It can be done so I believed it was done purposely. Fake toning and it wasn’t real.
May I add that I welded all kinds metals steel, aluminum, copper nickel, titanium, stainless, etc. I came across to that results.

Another exIample of someone deceiving the coin community. Do those people really think that the experts on the Live Coin Q&A would not catch on to this. I understand the tonning part, I do NOT understand the part where they are claiming it is a straight grade from NGC and then saying that is normal – no that is fraud. I am hoping the Live Coin Q&A will address this on the next Live so more people can see what is going on. The Live Q&A are trying to teach us something…so pay attention – do we really want people like this who deceive and lie to the coin community in the coin community – do we really want people who seed rolls and do shill bidding in the coin comunity? These are the people who hurt the coin community and especially the newbies……..So my friends STOP supporting the people who deceive, lie, and steal from the coin community and START supporting the Live Coin Q&A experts who’s only goal is to teach us about coins and educate us about these scammers.
