Price comparison to work out the best value, cheapest dealer to buy silver from in the UK. I compare the price of a 1oz 2022 Silver Britannia coin between the Royal Mint, Atkinsons Bullion, Chards, Baird & Co, Bullion by Post and Sharps Pixley. Let me know if you enjoy this content and would like to see more. I think it is helpful to make this comparison for silver and gold collectors / stackers so you know you are buying a competitively priced investment bar / coin.

  1. I’ve done the same with gold and Baird and co has always been the cheapest if your in London and can go pick it up.

  2. You forgeot to take into account delivery. Baird charge a lot for delivery, Atkinson are the cheapest by far

    1. Hey Kevin – yeah it’s a good point. I did deliberately leave the p&p out although I may incorporate that on another comparison. Perhaps for 1kg bars. FYI – you can collect in person from Baird and Co for free if you’re anywhere near London.

  3. For silver Tavex have been cheaper recently. Quite a well known dealer in Europe that seem to have expanded into UK. I think 2nd hand market is the best way to go price wise
Worth considering quantity discounts for say a tube and postage?
Anyone buying single silver Brits is getting killed with postage and vat on premiums

    1. I’m just checking out Tavex now, that’s a good suggestion! Yes, I think I will make another vid that goes a bit deeper on pricing so watch this space. Metal Head.

  4. Really great video. Thanks for making this. Shows just how different prices can be. I was going to suggest The Gold Bullion Co, but having looked, 1x 2022 1oz silver Britannia is £25.03 (exc. VAT & P&P).

Be really interested to see some more videos like this.

  5. It seems strange that Britannias are cheaper in the US than in the UK. They are also sold for half the premium as American silver eagles. $4.96 vs $9.12 over spot is where the premiums are today. Of course, if one doesn’t shop around, they will pay much higher. $7.32 vs $13.11 over spot at the big American retailer.

  6. not useful. you need to include delivery. it all adds up to what you are paying for the price of the coin/s some are free delivery others are expensive delivery

    1. Yeah Tony – I am going to make another video in due course to that effect. It’s a fair point. Hope you are well Sir and thanks for checking in. All my best, Metal Head.

  7. Recently been using Silvertrader they have been cheaper than those listed for many coins. Plus coins come in capsules and post is free.

    1. I haven’t come across them before but on your recommendation – I will go and check them out. Thanks for checking and I hope you are well! All my best, Metal Head.
