””My, my “nice guy” Sam, I have no idea why anyone would not want to sit for an “on camera” interview produced by our local extremely liberal Democrats when you start the request with “I am excited to bring to light the way you and other fellow Republicans cheat, bully and lie your way into office in an effort to gain power.”  I love how you attempt to “bully” me into responding by saying “…if you are too scared…” or “I will state in the video you declined to comment presumably out of fear of having your extremist views voiced on camera.”

First, I ran for State Senate District 3, and I did not win. Marc Eberlein supporters used personal attacks and slurs against me (much more than the liberal Republican I might add), my supporters and my family, yet I acknowledge the fact the Marc is a conservative Republican.  For example the person who was elected was the only one who did not endorse the Republican State Platform without reservation.  Most would say the most liberal candidate was elected.   I guess our “master plan” didn’t work so well.

Second I will be very interested in your examples of how Republicans “cheat” to get into office. I mean, Hillary Clinton has said the 2016 election was “stolen,” (Russia, Russia, Russia!) and she has never used the word “concede” to former President Trump, but just because you say it doesn’t mean it is true.

Republicans are not trying to “…turn North Idaho into a Christian-Conservative area on a governmental level.”  Would you please direct me to a statement by the current Kootenai County Republican Party saying this is their objective? I doubt you will find it. To the best of my knowledge, the current Kootenai County Republican Chairman nor any Executive Committee members for the last several years (or perhaps ever) has  said this is their objective.

So many people involved in Republican Party politics are not what I would call “practicing conservative Christians.” Many care more about low taxes, smaller government, less regulation, more freedom type of stuff.  I believe the local Kootenai Republican Party endorsed legalized gambling and decriminalizing marijuana.  Not your run-of-the-mill conservative Christian perspective.  Most libertarian-leaning Christian conservatives want to minimize government’s involvement in people’s every day lives.

I know about efforts to get people who agree with the Idaho Republican State Party platform to run for office.  The local Kootenai County Republican Party has every right to endorse candidates at the county level during the primary. This power is given to all Idaho county parties by the Idaho State Republican Party. In addition, the Idaho State Republican Party has the legal right to endorse in the primaries at the State-level. The National Republican Party endorses this power.  I would assume the Democrats have (or could have) such ability, no matter if they choose to exercise it or not.

In truth, the Kootenai County Republican Party is attempting to promote candidates that agree with the Idaho Republican Party Platform.  We call this Integrity in Affiliation.  For example, the Idaho State Republican Party has recently endorsed the abortion abolitionist movement.

“Section 3. Right to Life. A. We affirm t hat abortion is murder from the movement of fertilization. All children should be protected regardless of the circumstances of conception, including persons conceived in rape and incest….Idaho has the sovereign authority to defy the federal judiciary and to criminalize all murders by abortion within the state’s jurisdiction.”

Where child murder (abortion) should be outlawed in all cases except for the mother’s life. If you say you “affiliate” or associate, or represent the Idaho Republican position, the Idaho Republican Party has every right to ask if you agree with the party platform including Section 3 Right to Life.

The Idaho Republican State Party has required all Republicans to publicly state if they agree with the Idaho Republican State platform, and if they disagree, to say where they differ and why. Thus no, the local Republicans are not trying to “…turn North Idaho into a Christian-Conservative area on a governmental level.”  But yes, local Republicans are trying to endorse candidates that agree with the State Party’s platform.
