Faraday Future, a California-based electric vehicle startup founded by exiled Chinese billionaire Jia Yueting, said on Tuesday that it had signed a non-binding collaboration agreement with the city government of Huanggang in the central province of Hubei. The would-be EV maker said that the local government will offer financial and policy support to its business, adding that the establishment of its China headquarters in the city “is expected to be” partly funded by the local government. The company now plans to begin manufacturing its first production model, the FF 91 crossover, at its Hanford facility in California in March, and start deliveries by the end of April.
