Chinese automaker Geely will launch a new electric vehicle lineup on Feb. 23, targeting the country’s medium- to high-end price segments, Gan Jiayue, chief executive of Geely Automobile Group, told employees at an internal meeting on Saturday. Gan added that the company plans to introduce multiple all-electric and plug-in hybrid models under the Geely brand in the next three years, without revealing further details. The private automaker has been expanding into the country’s upscale and luxury segments with a number of different EV brands including Lotus, Polestar, Zeekr, and Geometry, and is aiming for an 83% annual increase in sales of electrified vehicles to 600,000 units this year.
