Well I thought it was good
It gave me several sensible chuckles.
pretty much laughed through the whole thing
You must be a little slow
You must be a little misogynist
Brutal . That was pretty awful. Bet the BBC love it.
Yeah, she might have been too nervous for this.
P.S. Where does “hen do” come from?
@davimurph, thank you for the explanation!
I am asking about the origin of the phrase, indeed.
@Mort Schubert whoops!
@davimurph Oh, a hen party.
I was thinking of Wallace Greenslade’s hen-do warning.
@Kryojenix you’re going to have to explain that one. I don’t know as much about the Goons as I should.
During the middle ages “hen” didn’t necessarily mean a female chicken, it was more a general term for any female bird and to a lesser degree was used for the female gender of any species.
She should do a cover of the original song “Vincent”.
Lovely singing voice.
Very Poor mans Victoria wood.
I think it’s rather good. I mean trying to play the piano and sing at the same time is really really hard. Plus, I just generally found it funny.
I know she’s taking the piss but… she actually has a pretty good voice… A little too much vibrato, but… yeah, the girl can sing… I’d like to hear her – go into rock mode. I always liked her, but this is a new side – piano playing, singing… She’s defo nervous – and rightly so – its a helluva prospect taking on something like this… but she plays well, sings well and performs…. what more could you want? Got a feeling she has a little Pat Bennetar / Joan Jett under that hood…. The odd hint at a rasp was enough to make me think… Hmmmm…… rock godess? I’d listen to her sing… actually, over her comedy…. She’s funny AS well, but I prefer her singing….
Yeah it’s nerves but it’s comedy not a music gig, works with her personality too, and the tone of the story. It’s legit funny 😁
Neddie: One question, Wal: what’s a hen-do?
Wallace Greenslade: *_IT LAYS EGGS!!!_*
i thought it was hilarious so i don’t under these comments and even if you don’t find it funny keep that to yourself
Daisy l think Rachel is so talented and l can’t believe the bad reviews! Yes it’s loosely Vincent by don maclean ! So what? All l can say is if people don’t understand the extremely well crafted words in this sketch is l hope that l never get stuck in a lift with any of them! Thanks for your post Daisy! Long live differences of opinion 🙏
Couldn’t raise a smile , not funny enough.
Probably the worst comedian I’ve ever seen
Brilliant comedian
I had never heard Vincent until a few days ago, so when I heard it, I slowly went, “hang on, this is the melody from Hen do on a train!”. Congrats Rachel, you almost ruined Don Maclean for me:).
4th time coming back here 😁
