After this inning, India set a huge target of 391 runs for Sri Lanka to win the third or last match.
During chasing, Sri Lanka was all out at only 73 runs in 22 overs and lose this match by 317 runs with India due to great bowling by Mohammad Siraj 4/32 (10), Kuldeep Yadav 2/16 (5), and Mohammad Shami 2/20 (6). Nuwanidu Fernando 19 (27), Kasun Rajitha 13* (19), and Dasun Shanaka 11 (26) were good batting from the Sri Lanka side.
