Michell Santner 19* (23), Mark Chapman 14 (21), and Michael Bracewell 14 (22) were good batting from the New Zealand side. After this inning, New Zealand set a low target of 100 runs in 20 overs for India to win the second T20 match.

During chasing, India loses 4 wickets, reached the target of 100 runs in 19,5 overs, and won the match by 6 wickets with New Zealand due to good batting by Suryakumar Yadav 26* (31), Ishan Kishan 19 (32), and Hardik Pandya 15* (20). Both Michael Bracewell 1/13 (4), and Ish Sodhi 1/24 (4) were good bowling from the New Zealand side.

Suryakumar Yadav (IND) 26* (31), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his good performance in batting.
