In the third or last one-day match, India beat New Zealand by 90 runs due to great centuries by Shubman Gill 112 (78), and Rohit Sharma 101 (85). After winning this match, India clean sweep the series by (3-0) in the three one-day series against New Zealand.

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first thus India first batted and made a huge score of 385/9 in 50 overs due to great batting by Shubman Gill 112 (78), Rohit Sharma 101 (85), Hardik Pandya 54 (38), Virat Kohli 36 (27), and Shardul Thakur 25 (17). Blair Tickner 3/76 (10), Jacob Duffy 3/100 (10), and Michael Bracewell 1/51 (6) were wicket-taking bowlers from the New Zealand side. After this inning, India set a huge target of 386 runs in 50 overs for New Zealand to win the third or last one-day match.

During chasing, New Zealand was all out at only 295/10 in 41.2 overs, and lose the match by 90 runs with India due to good bowling by Shardul Thakur 3/45 (6), Kuldeep Yadav 3/62 (9), Yuzvendra Chahal 2/43 (7.2), Hardik Pandya 1/37 (6), and Umran Malik 1/52 (7). Devon Conway 138 (100), Henry Nicholas 42 (40), Mitchell Santner 34 (29), and Daryl Mitchell 24 (31) were good batting from the New Zealand side.

Shardul Thakur (IND) 3/45 (6) & 25 (17), was declared as the Player of the Match due to good performance in batting and bowling.

Shubman Gill (IND) was declared as the Player of the Series due to his great performance in batting in the whole series.
