Not going to lie, I’ve walked past this location multiple times and never would have thought that it was a fine dining restaurant from the faded red paint facade. Inside is a clean, modern interior, rather quiet on the day I came. I’m glad I made it!

Le Davoli (name derives from David, chef, and Olivier, sommelier) is a table Michelin rated restaurant in the Saint Pierre district of Bordeaux open since 2012. Offering a seasonal lunch menu of two courses for 30 EURO, they also offer three-course menus from 49 for lunch and 68 EURO for dinner.

Chef David Grangier created some very refreshingly healthy and balanced the dishes. Whole grains, vegetables, no heavy sauces, and fresh fish. The tuna had come regionally, from Saint Jean de Luz, surrounded by a variety of seasonal vegetables and herbs.

I did not opt for the main and dessert option, so I cannot speak of the quality of their desserts from experience but seeing that Chef Grangier had worked as a pastry chef as well, I’m sure they do not disappoint. Nicely curated selection of wines, chosen by sommelier Olivier Rouland.

Good location for business lunches, as well as couples dining. Might be too much of an open space for bringing small children for lunch.
