  1. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to the both of you. Please, please, please, if you go to Alaska next year, please stop in Victoria bc Canada. Either starting or ending your trip. My sister and I will do our best to welcome you from the breakwater. You will love Victoria. Some people say it reminds them of a little London. I love watching every trip you do, especially your first trip to Canada this year. All the best in 2023 ❀️ P.S. I’m doing a five day Alaska sampler in May of next year, but it doesn’t stop at a glacier which is a must to see. I’ve done three before 😁

  2. having travelled 8 times on Carnival and the last 4 cruises on NCL, I would have to say that the departure ports and time of year have a lot to do with fighting.

While I have never experienced any fighting on Carnival, my first NCL cruise out of Boston was scary. Lots of bickering and fighting all week, and believe it or not, was mostly women. It was a cheap priced cruise with the unlimited drink package fairly new to that cruise line i think (2016), with lots of sea days, it was a drunk fest unfortunately. I am happy it wasn’t a transatlantic. Having heard good things about NCL, I decided to give them another go, which became 3 more gos. So yes, my opinion is about time of year and departure port, that dictates the demographic you get on a ship.

I’ve done older ships on both lines and the new Escape on NCL. I would say food wise they were comparable, except for the NCL specialty dining. If you like fine dining, it’s probably hard to beat, mind you at a pay as you go menu.

I have not done Princess or Royal Caribbean yet, so can’t really comment. I could go by online comments about those lines and make up my mind but will truly give them a shot and make up my own mind, which is what people should do.

Thanks for the channel, always like to hear how others experience this great way to vacation.

  3. Merry Christmas to all and i just want to say i love your content, I also want to inform you i’ve been on a msc cruise for my first ever cruise, it was wonderful the entertainment was great, but i understand the food problem the main dining is a little rough on the edges but there were a few surprises so now and then, i was surprised by the crew all the crew members was very friendly. Please go and try msc cruise again you might be surprised.

  4. Thank you for your openness and candor in your review of Carnival. I believe the brand is one of the best but like any other business needs improvement in some areas and I am at a Diamond tier, cruising Carnival since 1/4/98. Every comment was on point. You both earned a gold star in my view.

  5. Ben & David, Thank you so much for all your videos we luv them keep them coming. Hope you had a great Christmas guys πŸ₯³ πŸŽ„πŸΈ

  8. Merry belated Christmas to you both!!! My husband and I look forward to your videos….love your honesty about the ships, food, etc!!! Happy 2023 and safe travels πŸš’πŸŽ„πŸš’

  9. I have to laugh at your “Not Wholly True” line — it’s like that CNN reporter describing a Minnesota riot as a “Mostly Peaceful Protests”. Carnival Cruises, like Southwest airlines, have a really bad image problems probably because of the ‘Waffle House’ cruise fights on YouTube. I have to agree with the Travel Agent’s view that he wouldn’t even book his family on them based purely on Carnival’s bad publicity. Part of cruising is the mystique of its image that connotes quality. With the reputation of fights and drunken rowdiness, even though they may be far and few between, those occasions dirty the image in many potential customers’ minds. It’s amazing how a 6 person fight out on YouTube can counter hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of advertising.
