Hi Yankee, i have quick question for: do u think what u says in the video here is still accurate? I usually buy a mix a coins and bars (both gold and silver). Right now the price of the kilo silver (32oz) all tax included in Switzerland is 860 USD would u say that at this price we are better off buying bars instead of coins with higher premiums? Would appreciate ur comments on this. I usually buy around 32 ounces or a kilo per month.
Been buying since 1989 have brought bars that are serial numbers and hallmark stamped.
I purchase coin silver more than sovereign silver, but I buy 10 oz. Bars for preservation.
I buy both the gov minted stuff and the generic. I do this as more generic than gov because the gov can only try to confiscate the gold with their name on it. I prefer the generic.
i get everyone is stacking for their own reasons, i just find it funny when people are holding incase of natural disaster or “currency reset” or something along those lines, its like you said “what if this oz coin got me 9mm bullets” lets say were in disaster times, what good is a silver coin, if that day comes i don’t see how silver or gold will return to being the gold standard, cause let me tell you apocalypse happens your not going to find anyone willing you to give you ammo or water or food for silver.. at the end of the day in my opinion or and everyone can have their own, you’ll own those coins till you die and like you said they’ll transfer to your children and they will 100% sell it for cash, its just the way the world works.
The world is broken. And bartering stuff for stuff is untenable long-term— hence the need for currency. I’m also a prepper, and precious metals are not first on the list!

buying coins in Australia is economic suicide, current silver price A$34 approximately, coins selling for around $47 approximately, you cannot get them anywhere near spot price. Kilo bars are the most economical way to buy silver at A$37 per ounce. Also 10 ounce bars have a premium, around A$40/ounce!
Silver is silver bars or coins when and if sh…t hits the fan people will only pay you for the silver and not a premium for a coin collectible or not

I’m always afraid of counterfeits when it comes to bars…….but bars are great too look at particularly big bars……. I doubt if there is any junk silver out there that is counterfeit
When I started out 40+ years ago, I only bought bars. Engelhard and Johnson Matthey. Today, the premiums on those bars exceeds silver eagles. They are considered collectable bullion, strange as it sounds. The value of my stack has increased dramatically with time, mainly due to rising premiums that I can reap upon resale. Bars have their place in any stack, if you can get them at the right price. Diversity is key.
