Xpeng Motors said on Feb. 3 that it has begun taking orders for the G9 sports utility vehicles and P7 sports sedans in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Deliveries for the P7 are scheduled for June and the G9 in September. The Chinese electric vehicle maker is accelerating steps to strengthen its presence in the European market, with plans to open four delivery and service centers in the four countries in the first half of 2023. Rival Nio also began delivering its EL7 crossovers, also known as the ES7 in China, to customers in the Netherlands on Feb. 1 and plans to deliver in another four European countries later this year.
