Xpeng Motors has appointed Wang Fengying, the former vice chair at Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor, to its management team as a president, part of an ongoing corporate reshuffling that comes as the electric vehicle maker tries to catch up with its rivals. Wang will hold a key position with responsibilities including vehicle development, portfolio management, and sales operations at Xpeng, and will report directly to chief executive He Xiaopeng, according to a Monday announcement. Before working at Xpeng, Wang, 53, was the most senior executive at Great Wall Motor under founder Wei Jianjun.
