Businesses are opening and expanding inside and outside The Empire Mall.
The long-awaited second Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Sioux Falls is scheduled to open Tuesday.
It’s located along Louise Avenue next to Burger King on the mall campus.
Inside the mall, Go Calendars, Toys & Games, located near JCPenney, plans to extend its stay at the mall and will remain open for at least the rest of the year.
In the Macy’s wing, Bella Spa has expanded and moved from its space next to Shoe Diva to one next to Coins & Collectibles.
That’s a former hair salon space that has been remodled for Bella Spa, which offers services such as eyebrow threading and eyelash extensions.
Nails Plus also is coming back to the mall, with a salon that will be next to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
And, you can soon buy your Girl Scout cookies from a cart in the mall. It will be back later this month.
Also this week, Dillard’s confirmed its construction timeline now calls for its new store at the mall to open in the spring of 2024 instead of the fall of 2023.
