After this inning, New Zealand set a low target of 109 runs in 50 overs for India to win the second one-day match.
During chasing, India loses 2 wickets, reached the target of 109 runs in only 20.1 overs, and won the match by 8 wickets with New Zealand due to good batting by Rohit Sharma 51 (50), and Shubham Gill 40* (53). Both Mitchell Santner 1/28 (4.1), and Henry Shipley 1/29 (5) were good bowling from the New Zealand side.
Mohammad Shami (IND), 3/18 (6) was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling.
