New desserts are in the case at CH Patisserie. Winter offerings include The Classic Cheesecake, The Getaway and Chocolate Dream Petit Gateau. All three are gluten-free.

M.B. Haskett Delicatessen has a new dinner menu for winter with classics such as mussels in white wine and a Caesar salad. Entrees include a crispy chicken sandwich, truffle mushroom mac-and-cheese, fish and chips, and beef tenderloin. Dinner is served Thursday through Saturday.

Chick-fil-A is thanking medical staff throughout the year with a free sandwich. The “small token of appreciation for all that you do” is available the last Monday of the month from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Just present active hospital staff identification.

WoodGrain Brewing Co. is helping people who can’t decide which craft beer to pick with the Five Buck Duck. Pay $5, pick a rubber duck, and the number on the bottom will make the decision for you.

SoDak Soda is offering a party pack to help customers create a make-your-own soda bar for birthday parties and other gatherings.

Panera Bread has new toasted baguette sandwiches. They come in three options: Smoky Buffalo Chicken Melt, Pepperoni Mozzarella Melt and Green Goddess Caprese Melt.

For a limited time, Toppers has a “hate carbs love this” crust. It’s a 10-inch, gluten-free, keto-friendly cauliflower crust. Pick your own toppings or choose from four keto-friendly pizzas: Meat Topper, Toppers Classic, Ragin’ Pepperoni or Old School Sausage and Pepperoni.

Lobsterfest has started at Red Lobster. New dishes include Lobster & Shrimp Tacos, Lobster & Shrimp-Topped Sirloin and Maine Lobster Tail Duo. Returning favorites include the Lobster Lover’s Dream and Bar Harbor Lobster Bake. The Classic Lobsterita returns and is joined by the new Berry Sunset and Passion Fruit versions.

Credo’s Pub opened earlier this month in northwest Sioux Falls and has introduced its happy hour drink specials, which are good all day!

Craft beer from Look’s Beer Co. will be available on tap at more locations across the state. The brewery from Look’s Marketplace has signed with Global Distributing.

The first 30 customers at A Homestead Brew starting at 5 p.m. Saturday will be judges in the brewery’s fifth annual chili cook-off.

Votes for the 10 entrants will be counted by 7 p.m. The taproom opens at 2 p.m.

The Upper Room in Brandon is starting Beer School. Brew masters will share their expertise every other Monday beginning next week. Class starts at 7 p.m. Mike Nussbaum of Obscure Brewing Co. will be the first teacher. The $20 fee includes beer and pizza, and $5 will be donated to the Brandon Food Pantry. Register online by clicking here. The bar also recently updated hours. It’s no longer open on Mondays unless it’s Beer School night.

The east-side Bagel Boy has expanded its hours. It’s open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
