This is how we have fitted our solid wood work top in our self built campervan. Very excited as we are really starting to make some progress now that we are getting the kitchen unit in. We’ve since had the our relay (boxer/ducato) weighed so stay tuned for an update on that in a later video. ‘L’ shaped angle brackets for fixing worktop and frame build https://amzn.to/3aKi3Th *We use affiliate links from which we earn a small percentage at no extra cost to yourself. Subbed! Love your build! I’ll watch all your videos. What was the name of that tap you got off Amazon? Thanks.
Thanks for subscribing, there is a link to the tap in the video description of this video https://youtu.be/FcqfQLtadL8
Hope that helps
@Camper Vibe much appreciated 👍 love your sense of humour keep up the videos.
Enjoying the build and all the back videos too. Cheers Richie.
Hi Richie, thank you 😁👍
Superb job btw 👏👍
Thanks, lou done alright 😂
What thickness is the oak worktop and where did you buy it from? Cheers
Hi Andre, our van isn’t here right now so I can’t check but from memory it’s 27mm and we got it from b and q. It’s still very heavy tho.
Thank you. You’ve done a great job there. Great workwomanship 😁
The counter top looks just what I need. Can you remember where you got it from Em…? And would you say it could be used with an underslung sink..? 👍
B&Q if I remember rightly, yeah can’t see why not 👍
@Camper Vibe Thank you…. Cooker finally arrived and fitted, now need to fit a worktop 🧡
Skills! Loving the series
Cheers 😁👍
What sepecific material do you use for the worktop? And what width and depth?
Love the work top but if on a tight budget you could have used the wood you cut of the worktop for a splash back. Nice to see a women doing a van build, great work 😎
Thanks, we use the off cut for our detachable table/work station 👍😁
Such a great job. I bow my head. Not only woodworking is excellent but also electrics, gas, tiling and plumbing as well as design. Very very cool to have these skills. 👏
Yeah she is alright 🤣😆
Hi, Lou really enjoying all your videos. Quick question. I’m about to install my worktop which is the same one as the one you have. Did you treat it in any way? The paperwork seems to say it’s already treated but I feel I want to give it a few more coats of wax or oil.
Hi ya, Em here, no we left it as it was and didn’t treat it. It’s held up well considering I’m a spiller 🤣 don’t think it would be a bad thing if you did though
@Camper Vibe Cheers thanks for the reply Em. Keep up the great work…. And happy Christmas to you guys.
Um, am I the only one who is wondering about the ketchup on bread thing? I love you, but…??
😂😂
Lou, great job, kitchen looking fab.
After finding you on your Norway/Sweden series, I am binge-watching the van build as I’d love to do the same one day. One thing though…The Ketchup is upside down 🙃😂! I am looking forward to following your future travels. Keep up the great work.
😆😆 I’ll have to check now
Are you eating toast with Ketchup?? I LOVE toast with Ketchup, thought it was just me.
Brilliant yet again…
