Yellow gold always is yellow. White gold is also a dull yellow (albeit much lighter). However, white gold is plated with rhodium but that will fade and the dull yellow will show. The yellow gold is not plated with anything so it always looks the same

I got a 14 kt gold domed wedding band.Its simple and beautiful. I think if you get gold and it looks like you have worn it for years don’t look like you trying to impress people.
Also the sizing is more important then anything get it sized right wear it like a second skin. Looks beautiful.

Does it really take 10-15 years for the rhodium to fade/rub off from a rhodium-plated white gold ring? I just recently read that they usually need re-plating after only 12-18 months. I really want to understand this, because I just spent nearly all day looking for the right ring for my fiancé since the one we found that he likes a lot isn’t made with platinum, and we don’t want to have to re-plate it every 1-2 years.
