  1. A professional video well presented as always (Thank you Peter) but of a van thats light years behind its continental rivals….Dreamer, Globecar, Adria, Forster, Malibu, Rapido, Chausson….it goes on. This van looks dated on day one I’m afraid and what a huge faff twice a day messing about with cushions meant for sitting on. Driver’s seat doesn’t rotate fully and a performance each time with a table to park your morning coffee. How come no mid range 160bhp engine upgrade on this Fiat? If you like this style of van then Happy Days….but at this price for a really basic old hat van with wheel trims and a shower curtain in 2022 you’re being robbed of your hard earned cash. Hundreds of options out there for new van purchasers so if you’re prepared to be patient and wait a year for a new build after ordering (blame everything except the Sevel Plant) you can get much more value for money….just sayin’

    1. Not everyone likes the fixed bed layouts offered by the continental brands. This comes close to matching their storage (unlike other UK layouts) but has a much greater feeling of space inside – important when it’s wet and cold outside!
It’s not just the 160bhp Fiat option here – that unit is not currently available at all. So you accept 140bhp or pay a huge whack for the 180bhp. Or, with Murvi, have a (better to drive) Ford instead.

  2. I didn’t think that I would be too keen as I like a fixed bed but the more I watched the more impressed I was.

When compared to the expensive pop top VW campers that keep appearing here it is far better value for money with very few compromises. I could go away for several weeks in this but wouldn’t fancy much more than a weekend in a VW camper.

    1. Yes, it’s a great ‘van and a much better bet for a longer tour for two people, but the VWs serve better as daily drivers. You pay your money…

  3. Awesome layout for a single person. Would love to see this in rhe USA on a promaster platform.

  4. Great review, as ever. It would be brilliant if you could borrow their Transit based Morello for a similarly in depth review – I know another publication has already covered it but it was a very short video review…I have one on order but I’d be keen to see it properly tested! Any chance of that….?

    1. I’d love to but there are so many brands and models to cover that I don’t think I’ll get to do another Murvi for a while. You’ve made a fantastic choice, though. The Morello is such a well-proven design (not very different from this Pimento XL really) and I’d have the Ford over a Fiat every time.

  5. Just bought a Rapido Dreamer D60 Fun, £51000, 1 year old, 4K miles, 6.36m long, Electric drop down double bed + 2 x removable singles, Fiat 9 speed auto,149l refrigerator/freezer, Remis cab blinds, 2x 100amp batteries, Avtex TV, Emergency braking system, lane change alert, Road sign recognition, light & rain sensors, smart headlights, stop start, full metallic paint, alloys ,Thatcham tracker, Leather steering wheel & gear knob, external shower, Awning, side door fly screen, external led light, electric step, massive 2m deep rear storage with aluminium flooring including internal bike rack mount, 4 belted seats, Air Con, and a huge screen with reverse camera, DAB, & Sat Nav system, It lacks the lounge but I could use the bed/s or in fact bring a sofa with me as it would fit in the rear. Murvi seems very expensive to me

    1. Just compare it with rivals of similar layout and quality and the price is spot on.
Sounds like you got a great deal on that Dreamer, though!

    1. Surely better to only pay for the ones you want. Plenty of rivals are dearer and not as well made or as well designed

    1. Fiat sells more vans for motorhome/campervan conversion than anyone else. Not sure what’s funny?

  6. Love your reviews. Am definitely addicted. Really should stop watching ones out of my price range though 😊 keep them coming ❤

  7. I had a look at this very one van at the NEC Show and I must say that it is the only British campervan I would consider buying. I went for a German campervan mainly because of lack of time to look at the Murvi in more details. The sales manager was really down to earth with no sales pressure which I appreciated.

    1. With Murvi, you can have as much spec as you like, or keep things simple – that’s the point. Unlike other brands where there is often much less choice or you have everything bundled in packs
