I love how this man thinks! And the truth is that meritocracy is only a myth. Charisma and success have nothing to do with actual merit. Sociopaths are “naturally” charismatic ironically due to their dysfunction, which makes mant sociopaths be “succesful” but not due to their merit.
Also I wish I had listened to this talk about romanticism long before I met wolves in sheep skin to open my eyes in the worst possible way!
Least but not last. I loved the comment on psychotherapists. You can really find some terrible ones out there! But youtube channels as this one and others, as well as blogs and books help enormously! Specially when people who talk are the ones that hace experienced the pain and burden of life, being alive and be self conscious beings in their own skins!

Very interesting, I especially enjoyed the take on Romanticism.
Since discovering Alain’s work and the School of Life I have watched and listened to this channel repeatedly, and still not sick of it. Great reminder for life’s little trifles and like therapy in my comfy couch at home … Love his body of work.

Audience laugh (generally women) is unnecessary at lot of places. He is talking something serious, deep and noteworthy. He should be listen with full attention.
