Great info. Solid advice! If I can ask an unrelated subject about the Queen, you are From the UK so you will know better. I watched a video BYB, he said that the Tudor Beast coins may be a collectable. The queen is on a 2023 Yale coin. The other will have Charles. your thoughts?
You probably know more than me. I assume the Lion will be sought after being the first in the series. The monarch change is something new to me also. I noticed they called them the ‘Tudor’ beasts rather than King or Queens beasts… I wonder if that was to do with this scenario?
@Sovereign Saurus I don’t know.
@Sovereign Saurus I didn’t think about that. Makes sense. Thank you nonetheless. Have a great weekend.
Got a best value sovereign recently, they sent me an 1896 (Victoria old head) in nice condition 🙂
Fantastic! I’d be happy with that
@Sovereign Saurus I’m very happy with it, first time I bought a best value I got a 2022.
@Ant Awesome! I wish I had some of your luck 😉
God save the King
It’s that time already
I buy best value half sovereigns, and one is from 1899. I think its amazing how a 120yr old coin is still being used the same today!
Fantastic. I like the older ones too. I often wonder where such coins went over all these years
i buy all mine locally bought a half sov for 180 pounds there yesterday much better than anyware online
Good discussion !!!
Thanks Coin Hound
Where is the best place to buy best value ?
Hi Michael, It depends on a few things like stock levels, order quantity and what type of coins you want to buy. If you have a look at this video ‘Where to buy gold coins’ from last week I outline a few key points and some reputable dealers I’ve used. The video is here too:

got a few 2022 sovs in best value couple months back pretty happy about that now 👑☹
Nice! I’ve had the current year in best value in 2020 and 2021 but not yet this year
My sincerest condolences upon hearing of the Queen’s passing. Long love the King!
Meanwhile you’re the king of gold sovereigns 🇺🇸🇬🇧👊🙏🔱❤️
Haha as long as the stack is gaining weight that’s the main thing!
Good info!
I always go for the best value when I buy. Found a 1/4oz Canadian Polar Bear @ $475 delivered.
That was the best I was able to find a couple days ago. Cheers
Nice pick up. Theres a bit of excitement about what might come up, you never know
