A California family stumbled across a hoard of 1,400 mint-condition gold coins from the 19th century that had been buried in their backyard. Some of the coins are so rare, they could be worth $1 million apiece. Scott Pelley reports.

  1. Wasn’t that the couple who after announcing their find, had it all stolen. . . I mean confiscated by the Treasury department?

    1. NEVER EVER tell the goverment when u find treasure. EVER. If you have to sell it to random pawnshops over the course of years or random ebay sales you do that. The goverment has never once helped these people they just steal it every single time

  2. Maybe ask the original owner ? I swear it’s always the wife that is the shleppa that loses the most money
