  1. Excellent video. I alway fret abouyt shoes and jackets, end up taking too many. We are off to The Long Mynd – (your fault) in a couple of days just for the weekend. It should be warm though. What about, your pots, pans, plates, mugs, electronics – have you done, or will do a video on these?

    1. It is surprising how little stuff you can manage with. As I write this we are washing all the clothes we took with us on this trip apart from what we are wearing! No need for any spare stuff. Might do another video on what else we pack at some point ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Now look what you have done lol Jane then wanted to know about clothes and what you take so we then watched this lol she is now adding things to her Amazon basket. We now want to know where Ken gets those trousers from to

    1. Hope youโ€™ve got deep pockets then Stew ๐Ÿ˜‚ The trousers we take away are usually Craghoppers because they are lightweight and quick drying.

  3. So organised! we should all take a leaf out of your book๐Ÿ‘ just a suggestion why not try merino clothing? it’s warm and comfortable, bet it gets cold in the van in Winter!

    1. Merino is super comfortable but I think it needs careful washing which we cannot guarantee on the road.

  4. Wow what a great way you have of storing your cloths Carol and Ken. When the time comes circus to have our motor home i have some good ideas as to what I want to do in the garage part regarding storage especially when I buy a spare wheel lol …it keeps my excitement going knowing one day rose and my self will be out there making our memories together and enjoying life on the road ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. Hi Ken and Carol. Iโ€™m looking to start preparing packing clothing for the new van and like the osprey packing cubes you have shown for your clothes in this video . It looks from the video that you have different sized cubes and I have been researching the osprey options. Did you by any chance get the osprey ultralight packing cube set as I figured I could use the smaller ones for socks and pants, the middle one for t shirts, the larger one for shorts and/or trousers. All rolled up in the cubes would take minimal space and on Amazon is around 26 quid so just wanted to know if thatโ€™s the set you bought ? many thanks, Gary

    1. I am sure that set would be fine Gary. We bought ours in dribs and drabs on our travels and some on Amazon. Details are on our Amazon affiliate page, link in the description. ๐Ÿ‘

  6. Hi guys, I checked out your Amazon link (thanks heaos) but couldn’t see the female travel knickers that Carol mentioned. Could you please let me know where you bought them? Many thanks, Gael ๐Ÿ˜Š

  7. Thanks ever so much for taking the time to make this video! We have recently downsized from a big motorhome to a campervan and your video has been very helpful. At least now I know what is practical and works, instead of what I was doing in the MH and packing in far too much clothes just โ€˜in caseโ€™.

  8. What I tend to do is not take seperate nightwear. I take dark coloured cotton jersey trousers & I take deep coloured cotton t shirts. Both these items can be worn day or night. If I am only going somewhere for the weekend I do not need to take a third pair of trousers. I have one set of day clothes & a slightly thinner set of night clothes & the night trousers are adequate to use instead of the day trousers should they get wet or dirty. So if I get soaked with rain, or someone pours soup over me, I have a change of clothes, without having to take another set of clothing.
This is quite important as sometimes when I am going somewhere I am going on an Ki Aikido course which means I also have to carry my Aikido kit. I do also carry an extra top & extra underwear & if I can fit them in I include a pair of shorts, ‘just in case’. I include two long sleeved tops of some type & wear a fleece gilet with zipped pockets, in which I usually carry my phone & cash. I use jackets rather than jumpers as they can be zipped & unzipped according to temperature.

    1. I think we are now very similar as things have developed since that episode. Too much clothing and the cupboards become frustrating to use.๐Ÿ‘

    2. @Life is too short I think it is amazing how organized you both are in that small amount of space. Real work must have taken place to acheive that.

    3. @Sarah Strong itโ€™s a good job we like each other ๐Ÿ˜Š You just have to accept that everything has to be put back in its place and doing anything takes longer than normal ๐Ÿ™‚

    4. @Life is too short Everything does take longer. I do not have a camper-van, or even a car. So my limit is just what I can carry. Which is a lot less than it used to be. But of course any item I require is always at the bottom of my bag & despite organising my bag a bit with inner bags with certain categories of items in, it can take ages to find the necessary item & put everything back.
