  1. This is the first time I have ever heard of a scrum. Very interesting concept. It bridges identification of a problem and a finished solution of that problem.

  2. I just started my new position as a Scrum Master. I find my day coaching the organization and the Scrum teams.

  3. Hi guys,

I know as scrum master I have a responsibility with the organization but how I am supposed to do that as a contractor located in Costa Rica working for a US based company.

I see the organization as a big black box.

Fortunately the organization has Microsoft Teams channels where I have been spamming questions and in that way unblocking my teammates.

  4. I got asked what am i doing all day and what are other SMs doing (in the organization) 😀
I said well, we work with the team, helping them to grow and with the leadership – helping them to understand what the scrum is, and then meeting with the team members, coaching them to become more effective.
I got a pair of completely lost eyes and the dev who said: ok, that’s because you’re new, and when you’ll be done talking to everyone, what will you do?
I think i have missed the line that i’ll start all over again 😀

    1. Care about the success of others more than you care about your own success and advancement.

  5. Do you have any advice for someone straight out of school to become a scrum master? I find it very vague.

  6. Great show!
A little bit of out of context question to the above video.
Scrum suggests working in small teams, but how one handles multiple teams working on the same product? Any pointers would help.
    Thanks,

  7. In general I’ve came across distrust to SM role stemming from conviction that everything SM does is in fact done by the team mates on their own. E.g. coaching on communication skill like feedbacking spurs immediate response like “so the team can’t communicate? They’re adults, da!”. My point is that laying out SMs role is not only about actual actions, goals and results but also about addressing the pre-assumption and luck of trust.

  8. So nice to hear about Scrum master 8hrs journey. Scrum master works with team who are from different culture, different language speaking, different attitude, different skills, different age group of people, let what may come Scrum master has to take team along. Scrum master competes his team with his team and not with any other teams. Scrum master is into leadership role, interact with leadership and stakeholders. Scrum master keeps team together makes sure teams are transparent > team does inspection > helps team adapt to good actions from retro. Oh boy need glucose for our Scrum master. Some more on Metrics, keeping team together on sprint goal, manage teams issues, track team performance vs forecast, work on team blockers or help team on impediments. Alright let me end for now, thanks to Agile and scirm framework coaching never end🌞.

  9. I love you guys and you help me everyday to get by my Scrum Master roles. Thank you so much for all you do!
