In this video, learn how to setup pre-orders on your WooCommerce store. 👉 Pre-Orders plugin: https://sgwp.dev/8u8 Pre-Orders are a great way to get sales, fund production and generate buzz for a product. Before adding a product to your store as a pre-order product ask what product you want, when do you want to start accepting pre-orders, do you want to charge upfront or on release, and what date will the product be released (and shipped!) to your customers? Get the pre-orders plugin below to launch your new product as a pre-order to fund your initial production. Many online retailers use pre-orders as a way to spark interest in upcoming products, gauge product demand, and raise money for production. This lets them know how many products they should make on their first production run and get funds upfront. One of the methods of doing this is through the WooCommerce Pre-Orders plugin. This plugin allows you to sell your products even before they’re available. What’s really great about it is that it offers you so much flexibility. You can easily set a product to be available as a pre-order and choose the time when it will be released. In addition, you can choose whether to charge customers at the time of the sale or when the product is ready to be released (or shipped if it’s a physical product). So, when the product is available the plugin can automatically fulfill your orders. The WooCommerce Pre-Orders plugin lets you manually (or automatically) release and fill orders when you’re ready. In addition to this, the WooCommerce add-on lets you customize the pre-order experience you offer customers. It supports both pre-orders charged upfront and upon release. I recommend charging your customers upfront to get paid immediately. There are several payment gateways you can use to charge upfront payments for pre-orders including Authorize.net, Stripe, and Square. However, if you choose to charge your customers upon release, pre-orders can automatically be charged on the release date if you’re using a supported payment gateway. If using a supported payment gateway I would recommend disabling the Pay Later option. This way your customers will not have the Pay Later option and you will have their credit card info to automatically run once the product is released. If you are not using a supported payment gateway and want to charge upon release, you can enable the WooCommerce Pay Later payment gateway. Once the product is released, customers will receive an email to complete their payment. 🚀 WooCommerce Pre-Orders plugin: https://sgwp.dev/8u8 See the full blog post here: https://sgwebpartners.com/how-the-woocommerce-pre-order-plugin-can-help-your-online-business-and-our-suggestions-to-make-the-most-of-it/ — Related Content — – How to setup WooCommerce Subscriptions? https://youtu.be/LXvB8LM_4l4 – How to setup All Products for WooCommerce Subscriptions? https://youtu.be/f2Gl11y9g5o – How to add WooCommerce Subscriptions to Existing Products? https://youtu.be/irgixcIIVkM – How to setup a variable subscription? https://youtu.be/lQ46QVyF2_s – How to setup a simple subscription? https://youtu.be/FW4L0xYoiuE – How to setup WooCommerce Follow-Up Emails? https://youtu.be/lGND9wANlC8 – How to synchronize renewals with WooCommerce Subscriptions? https://youtu.be/5aEPR0i7bkI – WooCommerce Subscriptions free trials (and sign-up fees) https://youtu.be/WR9z917pkFo – WooCommerce Subscriptions Guest Checkout https://youtu.be/twqdtHu5TqQ — DESK SETUP — Standing Desk: https://geni.us/Grfoy3e Monitor: https://geni.us/sXxj Monitor Arm: https://geni.us/FdWLYiM Power Hub: https://geni.us/09jFF Cable Management Tray: https://geni.us/pRBAF9E Microphone: https://geni.us/nyWUc2N Boom Arm: https://geni.us/TVPegD Webcam: https://geni.us/Ins8 Desk Video Light: https://geni.us/l0c2d Headphones: https://geni.us/5eU1HbM Keyboard: https://geni.us/TaADN Keyboard 2: https://geni.us/kN7nt Logitech Mouse: https://geni.us/s4rtcj Xbox Controller: https://geni.us/TEY3v Laptop Stand: https://geni.us/VDzR3A Stool: https://www.autonomous.ai/fitness/ergonomic-stool Lightstrip: https://geni.us/xAFxo Chair: https://geni.us/pK7W Macbook Pro ’15: https://geni.us/AYc9 SanDisk 500GB External SSD: https://geni.us/rI9o #WooCommerce #WooCommercePreOrders DISCLOSURE: We often review or link to products & services we regularly use and think you might find helpful. 1. I have just downloaded the PRO version of preorders for woocommerce and there is NO pre-orders tab in wordpress for me. So I have no way to allow payments to occur at a later time. Anyone else have this issue and know how to workaround it? Basically I don’t see a difference right now between the free and PRO version.

  2. I’m using Printful to create some products so should the Pre Orders plugin be able to read in my existing products data to update the categorizing (and sku) information for my products? Or do I have to redo or star over with my product categorizing from a blank new page?

  3. Just purchased the plug in, is there a way to put the “availability_date” as just the month and not the day of the month?

I would prefer it to say “June 2022” instead of trying to pick a date within that month and hoping there are no delays

  4. Great tutorial and you covered so many little details which is great but you glossed over weather the plugin is free or if you have to pay for it.
