/>It’s that time of year when I’m actually excited about knitwear. I have gone through my Winter wardrobe, debobbled my jumpers and mentally made a note of what goes with what and any new bits/replacements I might want this season.

Stripes are big this season (when are they not though?) and last year I practically lived in the most gorgeous navy and camel La Ligne polo neck. The quality is superb, so I treated myself to a couple of new ones to add to the collection.

I really like this coral and orange colourway as it’s rather unusual and brings a bit of joy to a Winter wardrobe. I bought this in an XS as it’s slightly oversized and I’m quite petite (link here). I particularly like La Ligne’s silhouettes as well as their super soft and cosy cashmere mixes so I also bought the more traditional colourway of cream and navy (this time in a size small).

This is more of a cropped style (link here) so is worth sizing up. It looks great with high waisted jeans (the ones I am wearing in both pics are by Bellerose here where they are currently on sale. For reference I am only 5ft 3/162cm so they’re not cropped on me and I sized up one to get the baggier look I wanted.)

If you’re after a high street version Zara do a nice one (more stock coming but I expect they’ll sell out fast):

Interestingly the fashion for athleisure seems to have continued on from lockdown last Winter, particularly in the form of the zip-collar jumper. These are great if you want something more relaxed and casual. I particularly like them as I’m still working from home most of the week and I love anything that will keep my neck warm. I tried on the one from Ganni here as I loved the yellow but found it quite itchy and a slightly odd fit. Instead I fell for this one from ba&sh which I highly recommend as it’s so soft and warm. I’m almost tempted by the other colours.

It’s quite easy to find cheaper alternatives on the high street but I wanted one that would last and fell in love with the colour and softness of the Alpaca wool. Urban Outfitters do a really similar style and shape:

Other pieces I’m lusting after are:

Everlane orange knit click here. Pure Collection cashmere cable knit click here.

Poncho from Anthropologie here and metallic tweed cardigan from Jigsaw here.

Stella McCartney cardigan here (also available as a jumper) and L’Agence cape here.

I’m so pleased that the cape and poncho are back in fashion. I absolutely love them and think they look so chic with knee high boots and a hat. I’ll definitely be getting my old ones out of my wardrobe and revisiting this look.

With so many lovely pieces already in my wardrobe, I’ll definitely have no trouble keeping warm this season.
