Stella Vita is the World’s first ever solar powered campervan capable of a staggering 600 Km on a single charge! Aptly described as a “self-sustaining house on wheels” it comes kitted out with a double bed, sofa, kitchen area, a shower, sink and toilet! This could just be the perfect way to go off-grid…! Robert went to meet the engineers at Eindhoven University of Technology to see it for himself. 0:00 A solar powered campervan?! 1:20 A 3000Km road trip 3:55 Better than the back of a Tesla 4:38 Back to Uni 6:40 600Km of range 7:12 Everything is lightweight 8:51 Experimental but comfortable 9:44 Key design elements 10:43 Built in this room 11:35 Robert makes his bid 12:02 Arriving in Tarifa 12:50 Can we buy one? 13:30 Bobby’s outro Fully Charged LIVE is BACK! 1. this got me thinking, we have a lot of electric city buses in Cluj Napoca, if they all had solar panels on the roof that would be pretty cool, it wouldn’t be enough, but it could at least run the AC

  2. the Van is way too low to the ground to be practical in most of camp spots, other then that it’s a great idea

  3. Watching this episode once more made me think that I want this to be a foundation model for an electric family car, like a Citroen Picasso. This segment is currently not addressed and this shape with a lot of solar panels would make a great starting point for a Picasso-like family car. Come on car manufacturers, do something!

  4. I would have liked to see more of the inside. It looks amazing but I didn’t hear about the bathroom and shower. Anyway I think they’ll improve it over time such as more room, better kitchen, private bedroom and a full bathroom with a small tub, shower and toilet. My wife and I want to nomadic travel and for that you need things like storage and the other stuff I’ve already mentioned. Imagine being able to go for ever, never having to spend another dime on gas. Great idea.

  5. Just imagine being stuck in traffic and generating more range while you’re sitting there waiting to move, while all the time ICE drivers are wasting fuel.

  6. you should add a port and larger inverter/inverters in parallel to plug in more solar panels, or have an option include a separate set to reduce charge times, something that could potentially fold or lay on top of each other and fit underneath the bed
