We are two young adults, Despina 24 and Deivids 25 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia. Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help. DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every “ugly” part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful. We give new life to things that others would throw away! In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily: 7 Goats & 2 Bucks 3 Sheep 4 chickens & 3 Chicks 1 Rooster and 3 Geese Oh yeah and our cat Ivi & Dog Keita Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn’t be fair to keep this fun just for us! That’s why we want YOU to also be part of our Farmily!! We love our very supportive community!! Thank you so much for the support you are giving us. 1. I know, I am driving you nuts but don’t forget to cover the hay bales, it will make life so much easier for you guys and the hay will be of better quality

  2. That green gets off really just wiping when wet. If dry, the jus have to wet and wait. That power-cleaning sure is hard for bad paint-jobs. My plastic row-boat is green after every winter, but I aim the moment after rain…

  3. If you have rust don’t just paint it with rust covering paint but make sure you sand/ grind away the rust or it will just rust much more under the paint.
Get a nice grinding flap disc to grind back the rust to bear metal and next year you can always put some cosmetic filler on it if you wanna make it look good.
Get some alcohol to degrease and to quickly dry the spot and spray paint on some primer and paint from a spray can to get thru the winter.
Let me say it this way, if you do paint it, do it right, don’t do it “half ass” as they say. With a flap disc sanding wheel it’s easy and quickly done the right way.

    1. can they put a silicone or WD-40 like lubricant over the bare spots to keep rust from growing over this winter? then remove that properly for a good paint job…not just a patch job?

  4. you should store the van inside then i will stay nice i do also store my rv in a barn and it stays rust free

  5. It’s amazing how dirty the van got just sitting in the yard. Great job on the music it’s like it went really well with the video. Sorry to see the rust in places on the van, but I know Deivid can do his magic and get those places all cleaned and fixed up.
