In November 2022, China saw a more than 21% drop in semiconductor sales, the biggest fall among major markets, according to data released by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) on Monday. Worldwide chip sales were down 9.2% from last year. The data reflected continued weak demand in the market and “cyclicality and macroeconomic headwinds,” SIA president John Neuffer said. Elsewhere, the US saw a 5.2% rise in its chip sales, Europe was up 4.5%, and Japan recorded a 1.2% increase. [SIA]
