  1. I’ve been a graphic designer for over 40 years, and concur completely with the advice offered here. It’s still difficult to get many clients (I also write copy and create commercial videos) to realize that the end product is not for _their_ consumption, but for their _audience._ That probably remains my main challenge, but then, if I can’t convince them my experience counts, I can’t develop a trusting relationship anyway. Sometimes, it’s best to just move on. Nice work, Thomas.

    1. I guess it depends on your approach, the clients you are targeting, the industries they operate in, and other instances. The main point is how you talk and demonstrate your point to a client. They care mostly about their money and their business. If you can demonstrate how a design will generate more money and a better business because it targets X Y and Z, you are on the right path.

    2. Hi,Im Imali,I was a teacher but not about graphic designing, but I have certified of the graphic designing. Now I want to be a graphic designer in another country,Is that possible?

  2. You can just set up your professional looking email address and publish that everywhere on your site; tell your existing clients you are moving over and use it as your reply from address. Then have the old and new address forward to the same place.

  3. Good advice indeed! Thank You So Much for sharing my Master! God Blessed you always! 🌷🌿🌍💖🐉🕊

  4. hi Satori, In regards to emails, you should be able to use your new email and have the other others forward to your main account. I remember hotmail might be a bit more troublesome, but you can explore that it allows you to auto forward. In gmail I believe you can have different alias for the email, but hotmail doesn’t allow this. There’s probably a service that takes care of things like this if you don’t have the time to explore yourself. This would allow you to use a nicer email alias from now on, while being able to still use the old one.

  5. Not gonna lie, I was expecting advice more towards the craft of graphic design. A lot of these tips were more about workflow and applicable in other fields like photography.
Little insight into the craft was given though.

    1. Mainly because the craft is easily learn anywhere online, and actually you soon realise it isn’t as important as the business and marketing side of things. It is important, just not as much as you think it is

  6. when you mentioned about having a typo words ruined everything, i accidentally seen your typo word on 4:01 haha xD

anyway, i love your videos man! subcscribed!

  7. As a viewer, i clicked on the video thinking it was going to be showing your logos or designs and how they progressed over 15 years. Kind of like them do for drawings. Maybe a good idea for a future video idk. Loved this one, thank you for all the insight

  8. You can get a job in graphic design without any experience beyond your work in design school or university. A great way to get that first entry-level position is through an internship.
