5. this is such bullshit. Make a specific task that Canva excels at, and pair it against against pro software. Yeah, like we professionals in the industry start with a blank canvas. We can make our own templates, you know? What would happen if you had to change a logo in vectors from color to black and white, and you had to for example cut a person from an image and change the color of her t shirt from red to green, not to mention to make something that doesn’t look like everything else or stock. This such a bullshit video and it is sending a totally wrong message to all the (probably) small businesses out there that are trying to save money. It is the equivalent of telling a person that why should you even pay for a nice meal, when if you are hungry a frozen microwave dinner will be much faster. You need fast stories and instagram posts? Go pay a pro to make you custom decent looking templates, and do not shit on your brand. Canva is for supermarkets, if you want brand your self as something cheap, do it, and good luck.

6. Funny thing about Canva is there ARE graphic designers creating all those stock assets and templates haha. Graphic designs are essential to curate a brands true identity. If you’re a startup or small business that doesn’t have the funds for a graphic designer. Yes, canvas is optimal to fit your budget.

People saying Canva is lazy or unhealthy are werid and coming out of a place of fear imo, make use of every tool at your disposal for the best designs , I use canva for some quick ideas or inspiration from time to time. There is no need to worry about ppl use Canva to replace us. You can try a pro vs a veteran on Canva you’ll see the difference.

Actually, Canva was created because the founder thought “Do we all want to learn Adobe products that we will have to relearn in 2 years when a new version comes out all so we can make something as simple as a poster, wedding invitations or a yearbook? No, that’s ridiculous. I’m going to make something better.” Listen to the “How I built this” podcast episode where she, Melanie Perkins, shares the details and thought process. This example is exactly what canva was made for.
