Hello dear viewers πŸ™‚ In today’s video we will be talking about the very interesting precious metal silver! Silver is one of the most important metals for our economy all around the world, yet the price of physical silver is very low compared to how useful silver is. So today we will talk about aspects of this amazing precious metal, how you can invest in it, if you want to do that. Silver coins and bars are usually best suited for investment purposes. Eventhough I like silver and have had a lot of experience over the years, none of this information that I share with you in my videos is financial consulting in any way and you should always do your own research as I’m just stating my opinion.

  1. I started stacking jewelry in .925 and lower karat scrap gold wedding bands and hoop earrings. I’m paying under spot for total gold and total silver weight. It holds the same value, little to no premiums, and nicer pieces can be resold.
Its all stamped and recognized, and fractional. You just gotta know how to convert the math.

    1. Exactly, that’s the best way I was able to come up with as well, works very well..Thanks for watching πŸ‘πŸ‘

    1. Sorry, unfortunately not, I’m from Europe, I don’t really know any dealers in Canada and only a few in the US.

  2. The premiums are ridiculous right now. I got 39 liberty v nickels and 47 barber quarters for less than the cost of 8 silver eagles today. And they’re worth more! I’ve been doing the same thing though, I’ll buy large lots, pick out what I want, sell the rest for a profit…rinse and repeat.

I think the best way to collect coins is to have a strong weight in silver while also having a strong numismatic value. If your coins are worth a lot numismatically, even if that market crashes, the silver content will save you. If the silver market crashes all the way down to zero, the old quarters and other coins are still going to be worth money because of their age and rarity. So I’m covered both ways. I do still collect silver eagles when I can find them at a decent price though, I’ve got a weak spot for them.

    1. Yes, I think that makes a lot of sense actually, especially if you don’t have a lot of other assets that are worth a lot. Thanks for watching πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

    2. @Scrapping Adventures I ran out of other things to invest inπŸ˜…. I’ve got my retirement plan, investment account, a house, etc. This investment/hobby is a lot more fun!

  3. Your vid popped up in my YT page. Great explanation. I agree it makes more sense to invest in semi-numis like lunars, kooks than straight up govt bullion coins. Thanks for sharing. Liked & Subbed πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜Š

  4. I was poised to disagree with you, but I really can’t. Premiums are ridiculous. There IS a shortage in the US however. Many things we could get before we can’t now. Are you buying generic rounds then? Or 10 oz bars?

    1. It’s unfortunate, that’s for sure. I’m not in the US, so I just don’t know hiw the situation is over there, but we really don’t have a shortage in Europe. 10oz Bars are quite rare here, but not as rare as generic rounds, as those have a tax disadvantage over coins in some countries over here, so they don’t really get imported and no one bothers producing them. At the moment I don’t really buy, I have a lot already, but I’m always looking for deals and I will resume my buying next year. Thanks for watching πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

  5. Thanks for the video. That’s what I mostly collect is β€œvintage”, limited bars and rounds you are 100% correct the value of the older/ collectible silver has doubled while generics has lost because you can’t get spot at dealers when you resell I been trying to sell some ASE to some local bullion dealers the buy back is based on spot. I have made much more on collectible then bullion silver.

    1. Sure, collectible silver is much more suitable for making a profit, if you want to do that. Thanks for watching πŸ‘

    2. @Scrapping Adventures I been β€œstacking” for over a decade and I see now what is more liquid the generic/ mass produced bullion or some Art bars from the 70’s and 80’s yes they both store β€œvalue” but remember ALL silver stackers have a couple of silver pieces that are cool. Then the price for that goes up and stays up as more stackers want it. Just what I have seen.

    1. Is that a question? Mate, please don’t put questionmarks behind every sentence, I can’t tell what you mean, sorry. Thanks for watching tho.

    2. @Scrapping Adventures You are promoting doing away with silver That is not smart ,Heat it for you guys but why not fight for Freedom I live in a Free state and we have plenty of Wood and Heat using The land. How long before you are banned from off grid ,They tried that here and we ran them off ,havent heard from them Feds for a decade ?

    3. I have plenty of heat. No clue what you think where I live, but you are most likely wrong. Besides that, stop making assumptions about people you don’t know.

  6. It’s really in my opinion if your staking for weight or collector to flip or hold your wealth not sure if i agree.

  7. It has been quite frustrating to see my crypto continue to fall over the past few months. Any ideas how I could increase my profits in this market?

    1. How can anyone know an experienced trader who can be trusted when good ones are hard to find these days?

    2. Worst mistake you can make is to let emotions drive your investment decisions. A diversified portfolio coach, with the appropriate amount of risk to match your needs, is like a ship meant to survive all storms. But no one can save you if you jump out.

    3. to get a real retirement income you need to invest a lot. Your 100 dollar investment won’t cut it. I don’t have the stomach to invest 1 or 2 hundred thousand.

    4. Booom!🀯… Mrs.Colley Bally’s story is everywhere lol. I really thought that was the only one who knew her well.
I think their good reputation speaks for them too

  8. I agree, govt mint coins have crazy premiums. Right now I will only but generic rounds if they are at a good price.

    1. Yup, at least as far as bullion goes for sure. I love the gov coins, but not at any price. Thanks for watching πŸ‘

  9. “Bullion coin” is a misnomer.
The definition of bullion is UNCOINED silver/gold precious metals. So, it is a conflict of terms to have an uncoined-coin

Really, the difference is the past or current guaranteed value from the sovereign minting the coin. A coin has value via the intrinsic PM but also the stamped value.

    Bullion does not (excluding numismatics).

So, if we hypothetically ended up having a massive new supply of gold via space mining, making gold’s value insignificant, the guaranteed government value would hold value on a coin. However, gold bullion would make the bar/ingot worth that of a base metal with only purity and weight.
Here is a good example differentiating bullion and coins,
Executive Order 6102: April 5, 1933, by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The order is “forbidding the hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States.”
FDR differentiates gold coins and gold bullion. No mention of ‘bullion coins’.
    Cheers and Merry Christmas!

    1. Not sure I really agree with that, definitions change over time, I don’t really think they are a very reliable way of determining what a word means, because what it means is heavily influenced by what is understood when using the word.
Spacemining however is bullshit. The only thing humanity could maybe think about mining in the next couple of centuries would be the moon. Too bad that thing barely has any precious metals on it. So to consider mining other planets or asteroids, we would need to be in Star trek age and believe me, that’s not gonna happen by 3022. So it’s questionable wether humanity even still exists before spacemining can be a thing. So what do I care. Not one bit.
Anyways, thank you, you have a merry Christmas as well.

    2. @Scrapping AdventuresΒ
Yes, I think space mining is far-fetched in our lifetime. Agreed! Perhaps deep sea mining is more probable. I used the asteroid example to demonstrate a supply change in gold, which would ultimately reclassify the PM to a BM. This would show the only difference between bullion and a coin would be a coin’s fiat value vs. bullion, which would have little to no value in that situation.
Using the term bullion coin is sort of a redundancy. The term bullion, by some, has been co-opted to mean “precious.” The redundancy is the obvious fact that a gold/silver coin is precious, and it doesn’t need to be re-enphasized. I think it is better said to refer to a gold coin or gold bullion.
Just my 2-bits from a linguistic nerd.

    3. Sure, I guess so, I will admit that language for me always just was a form of communication, I guess most people that have to speak many languages on a daily basis think that way, so I’m not very educated on definitions and stuff πŸ™‚ But yes, I get what you mean. Thanks for watching πŸ‘πŸŽ„
