Rating: 5 out of 5.

Petra and the Sewer Rats is the second novella in the Juno and the Lady series. Even though this one is labeled as 1.2, you could pick this up at any point while reading the series.

I loved that this story was all about a woman’s goal to help those who weren’t getting the help they needed! Petra lives a pretty cushy life, but when she discovers a world of people that do not live the way she does, she knows she has to do something!

If you read this series in order, you’ll find that Petra is a character from the first book in the series, and I really enjoyed getting to see her backstory in this one! Petra is really a great character, and I found myself absolutely loving this story! I definitely recommend adding this one to your TBR, but don’t forget about the entire series as well!

‘You saved one girl, papa,’ Petra said. ‘Just one girl. The rest are living in the alleys. Starving, freezing, with no hope.’

‘I still don’t understand why this is bothering you so much?’ Ernest said.

Petra turned her head and stared out of the window.

A young privileged woman who knows nothing about the real world is thrown deep into the underbelly of Fairacre.

Petra and the Sewer Rats take us on a tale of how Petra forms the Sewer Rats then has to make an impossible decision. Does she save her baby? Or does she save the children of the alleys?
