Today is the first death anniversary of senior NDTV journalist, Kamal Khan. We remember Kamal Khan as a great journalist on this day. Earlier, Kamal Khan died at an age of 61 due to a severe heart attack. As per a report, Kamal Khan had a heart attack and was taken to hospital after severe heart attack where doctors declared him dead. I am also a fan of the great reporting by Kamal Khan. Kamal Khan was popular for his unique style of reporting on different political issues.

Introduction – Kamal Khan was born in the year 1960 and had done a Master in English Literature after that, he pursued a course in Russian Philology (Russian Language and Literature) from Moscow State University. Later, he married Ruchi Kumar, a political editor on India TV, and had a son that named is Aman Khan.

Earlier Kamal Khan lived with this family in the government bungalow at Butler Palace in Lucknow and is survived by his wife Ruchi Kumar and their son, Aman. In past, Kamal Khan worked as an Executive Editor in the popular news channel, NDTV, and was a recipient of the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award and Ramnath Goenka Award from the President of India. Kamal Khan’s wife, Ruchi Kumar is also a journalist and works on India TV channel.

Career – Kamal Khan started his career as a Russian Interpreter in Hindustan Aeronautics in the city of Bengaluru. Later, he joined a local news channel Amrit Prabhat and worked as a reporter. After that, he joined Navbharat Times after Amrit Prabhat got closed. Later, he joined Dainik Jagran after quitting his job. Finally, he joined NDTV Channel and started working as a reporter from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Due to great reporting and work, Kamal Khan was promoted to resident editor in the NDTV channel for Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

Achievements – Kamal Khan received Ram Nath Goenka Award from the President of India. He also got the Ganesh Shankar Award which may be the biggest award for Hindi journalism instituted by the Union Home Ministry from the President of India. Later, he was also awarded by NTA award for the best Hindi TV Reporter. He also got an International award from the Federation of SAARC Writers and Literature for his great contribution to the field of Hindi TV Journalism.
